Cover crop mixtures improve soil health, fertility, and long-term
productivity by enhancing soil structure, increasing organic matter, and stimulating biological activity. They reduce erosion, nutrient leaching,and compaction while improving water infiltration and aeration. Mixtures help suppress weeds, break pest and disease cycles, and support beneficial insects and wildlife.
Legume species fix atmospheric nitrogen, reducing fertiliser
dependency, while deep-rooting species capture and recycle
nutrients from lower soil layers. When integrated into rotations, cover
crops provide a sustainable, cost-effective approach to resilient and
regenerative farming systems.

available individually.
Phacelia - Fast establishing, strong weed suppression, excellent pollinator support, mineral-rich, and ideal for soil conditioning.
Buckwheat - Rapid growth, phosphate scavenger, strong weed
competitor, frost sensitive, and highly attractive to beneficial insects.
Brown Mustard - Fast growing brassica with biofumigation properties, excellent weed suppression, soil stabilisation, and pest
suppression.
White Mustard – Versatile, low-cost, quick soil cover, good nitrogen
scavenger, frost sensitive, and effective green manure crop.
Fodder Radish (Oil Radish) - Deep taproot, strong nitrogen
scavenger, improves soil structure, suppresses weeds, some nematode
resistance.
Daikon (Tillage) Radish - Aggressive deep root penetration, compaction breaker, nutrient capture from depth, strong winter soil cover.
Linseed - Fine taproot, excellent soil aerator, good soil conditioning crop, attractive flowering species.
Gold of Pleasure (Camelina) – Fast establishing brassica, pest and
disease tolerant, good nectar source, supports companion cropping.
Forage Rye – High biomass cereal, excellent nitrogen scavenger,
winter hardy, erosion control and soil structure improvement.
Black Oats - Rapid leafy growth, early vigour, strong weed suppression, high organic matter production.
Leafy Turnip – Fast soil coverage, winter hardy, forage value, strong
soil protection and structure benefits.
White Clover – Living mulch, nitrogen fixation, weed suppression, excellent companion species for cereals.
Crimson Clover – Rapid establishment, nitrogen fixation, pollinator friendly, quick biomass breakdown.
Berseem (Egyptian) Clover - Explosive biomass growth, high nitrogen production, fast soil fertility building.
Common Vetch - Strong nitrogen fixer, weed competitor, soil conditioner, excellent companion species.
Hairy Vetch - Cold tolerant legume, high nitrogen fixation, strong
winter ground cover, weed smothering habit.
